Motorcoach Bus Drivers
A Driver operates the motor coach safely with or without passengers on board and responds to calls from Dispatch. They follow the itinerary provided for the trip, adhere to traffic laws and DOT regulations, and follow proper procedures. A driver maintains awareness of driving conditions while scanning the environment for possible safety hazards.They conduct a comprehensive pre-trip inspection and post-trip inspection of the motor coach to ensure safe operating conditions.

As a driver you will load passenger baggage and freight into the baggage compartment using proper lifting techniques. You will assist passengers, operate the wheelchair lift, and attach wheelchair restraints.
Drivers consider the welfare of all passengers, taking necessary actions to protect their safety and well-being. They answer passenger questions and respond to requests for assistance, providing positive customer service to passengers and acting in a friendly and courteous manner.
Drivers notify dispatch of any problems or deviations from the schedule or route.
They will complete all required documentation and maintain driver e-logs according to Company, Federal, and State regulations. Drivers complete trip report envelopes with arrival and departure times and passengers counts.
Class B commercial driver’s license with airbrakes & passenger endorsement
1 year commercial driving experience; some companies will train
Customer service, patience, hand-eye coordination, good vision and hearing, basic bus maintenance
Ability to work flexible hours and be available for trips lasting extended periods of time; clean driving record; must pass a drug test, background check (MVR, Criminal, Extended Employment Verification) and D.O.T. physical; be 23 or older. Minimum of 6 months experience operating a bus. Able to move/lift up to 25 pounds. No driving convictions related to alcohol or illegal drug use.
